Blue awareness sessions

Research suggests that for people to act, it is necessary that they care. And for people to care, they first need to understand.

In numerous organizations, there seems to be a lack of clarity and awareness regarding the pivotal role that the ocean plays as the blue lung of our Earth, giving rise to frequent questions on this crucial topic.

If you recognize this in your own network, we are delighted to invite you to schedule a “Go Ocean blue awareness session” with us. This session aims to bridge the knowledge gap and shed light on the vital importance of maintaining the health of our oceans and actively participating in marine ecosystem restoration efforts.

What do you get?

Don’t worry, this blue awareness session is not a crash course in marine biology or climate change wake-up call. This session is all about shedding light on the fundamental role of our ocean and its current condition. It’s about handing you and/or your organisation the knowledge and tools to act as citizens of a blue planet — an ocean planet — because that’s the reality.

The standard formula consists of a 30-minute session with 10 minutes of Q&A in Dutch or English, at a location of choice.

If you want to customize this session, or integrate it into a bigger event, reach out to us and we’ll make it work.

For the blue awareness sessions, we kindly request a voluntary contribution to support one of our ongoing restoration projects.

Some of the question that will be answered during the blue awareness session:

  • Why is the ocean the blue lung of our planet?
  • What are the most important ecosystems within the ocean?
  • What is the effect of climate change on our ocean?
  • Is human activity directly impacting ocean health?
  • Can we do something to help?
  • What are the most important actions to take in the short and long term?
  • How can we learn more?
