About us
Go Ocean wants to support and accelerate the restoration of coastlines and marine ecosystems, promote the resilience of our oceans against threats like climate change, and protect marine wildlife habitat.
Go Ocean was created in 2023, as a sister to the Belgian tree accelerator Go Forest.
The founding forces behind Go Ocean were Go Forest colleagues Marte Greefs and Sarah Parent. Later, their Go Smart Digital colleague Tim Sterckx joined out of a great motivation to start accelerating ocean restoration in his network as well.
In January 2024, they attracted investor and new shareholder RAFF plastics, bringing in additional expertise, a new network and unstoppable enthusiasm.
Mission
To represent, empower, support, and accelerate ocean conservation and restoration projects (that are currently still underrepresented) by providing companies and individuals accessible, tangible and transparent ways to support these projects.
Vision
To conserve, protect and restore the blue lung of the Earth to slow down climate change, to prevent further degradation of the oceans and ocean wildlife habitat, and to ensure survival of the planet and all species on it.
Goals
Healthier coral reefs, healthier coastlines, healthier kelp forests, healthier sea grass meadows, and better managed fisheries (MPA). Ocean restoration as a no-brainer.

Go Ocean is the newest addition to the Go Family. Because of the success of Go Forest, Go Ocean was born. As sister company of Go Forest, Go Ocean acts with similar integrity and transparency and has the same mission of restoring our nature.
