LAGO case

LAGO is helping Go Ocean to restore coral reefs in the Coral Triangle in Indonesia. For every visitor, LAGO contributes to the planting of new corals, making the ocean a little richer every month. How does it work?

  • 10,000 visitors = 1 coral fragment
  • 100,000 visitors = 1 coral spider (16 fragments)

Communication in the LAGO pools and offices

To raise awareness among visitors, LAGO is communicating elaborately about the initiative. From posters throughout the offices and the swimming pools, to immersive coral restoration videos on the screens, and extra communication on ocean-themed days.

Employee engagement through an impact family day

During the first LAGO beach cleanup, LAGO employees and their families cleaned up the beach in the municipality of Bredene, led by Go Ocean partner Proper Strandlopers. Many colleagues from all the LAGO swimming paradises descended on the coast to roll up their sleeves and clean up litter together. Go Ocean made sure that the LAGO x Go Ocean partnership for coral reefs was well explained and visually supported to demonstrate once again the importance of protecting and restoring our natural marine ecosystems. 🪸🐟
